Well, the baby's movements are becoming more frequent. Not predicable though =) We went for my 16 week check up yesterday and this appointment was much better than the last! My nurse midwife is amazing and I highly recommend her to anyone in the area! If you are looking, please let me know and I will give you her info! We actually got to hear the heartbeat this time and it was amazing. The little bugger is a BIG mover and it took a while to find it but my midwife was wonderful about finding it and letting me record it! After the appointment, it was moving around. Probably letting me know it didn't appreciate being poked and jostled while it was trying to chill out.
I have a cold, this is the first time I've been sick in almost a year! I don't usually like to make a deal of things but not being able to take any day time or night time meds is hard! So, I have a vaporizer, some vick's, soup, juice, and a wonderful hubby! I get to call and set up my ultrasound...I'm pretty sure it's going to be the same day as my next appointment so I can do it all at once.
Now, I've got to try to figure out how to post this sound file for everyone to be able to hear...AND my "bump" pictures so others can see it!

15 Weeks
Well, I am now 15 weeks and 2 days along! My tummy is FINALLY starting to look less like fat and more like a bump which is SUPER exciting! We are wondering just how many stow-aways mommy has, considering that twins run in both of our families, skip generations, and it's due ours (on both sides). We're figuring one, but there's always the possibility of two!
I felt the baby move for the first time last Sunday and it was moving a little last night. According to baby books and all that, it's too early to feel it, but I know what it was!
I'm going to try to start taking pictures of my belly now every week. I wasn't doing it before because I was either busy or forgot or didn't think I was showing enough to do it. I kind of wish I would have already. Oh well, next time around, I'm going to do it every week!
I was going to upload a picture I took at 14 weeks BUT for some reason, it's just giving me codes where the pic should be. Maybe it's the computer I'm using? Later <3

Catch-Up
Well, to get everyone up to speed, we are pregnant!!!
I had a fleeting suspicion shortly before Memorial Day weekend when I was eating yogurt and it made me want to puke, which is beyond weird for me. I waited it through as long as I could and on Memorial Day, we found out I was pregnant!!! No second test needed because I know I am in tune with my body. I was so excited all I could do was cry and shove the pee stick almost into Conrad's face. The next day, I went for a blood test and two days after that, we found out for 100%! Little did everyone else know, I stopped taking the birth control at the end of Dec, SURPRISE, MOM!
They made us wait (what seemed like) forever before our first appointment, which wasn't what I expected. The second one, we were supposed to hear the baby's heartbeat and we were supposed to meet with a doctor but we got to be graced with the presence of a PA who acted like someone set their tail on fire. After what felt like being gutted, we heard the heartbeat for like 2 seconds. BUMMER! So, I don't really think I heard the heartbeat because she was talking to me the whole time.
As for pregnancy "side effects" (as I call them), the nausea is ridiculous. I feel sick most of the day because I work in between a 350 degree oven and a deep fryer. So, the smell of yeast, bread, grease, or fried chicken makes me unbelievably gaggy most of the day. My cup size has definitely gone UP and my jeans no longer fit, in fact, I've moved on to yoga pants for now. I haven't had any cravings (due to the whole day-long nausea crap). But, my hormones are beginning to kick my butt.
Conrad's been great through all of this so far! He loves to rub my belly (even though it's still small), talk to the baby, kiss my stomach, and "hug" the baby. He has been a super husband when I lack the energy/time to keep up with the house work or food end of things. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man as my husband/daddy of our baby!
I'm pretty sure that is all for now <3
